I proposed an e-card email message system, allowing a user to communicate to an acquaintance a personalised message consisting only of location and movement. The location should be outdoors, natural and inviting, and the movements should be imaginary things, moving freely and naturally. The user should not be given the opportunity to add anything to the message other than their name. I was interested in engaging with the Internet's humanising foundations of communication, user-orientation and imagination, and with its de-humanising effects of dislocation and alienation. |
